Common questions

Is my Kalshi API key safe?

Your credentials are encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password. The encrypted blob is stored server-side, but we cannot decrypt it. The encryption key never leaves your browser.

Do I need a Kalshi account?

Yes. Argus connects to Kalshi through their official API. You need a verified Kalshi account with API access enabled.

What happens after the trial?

Your 14-day free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically. You can cancel anytime from your account settings before the trial ends.

What is BYOK?

Bring Your Own Key. For AI features, you provide your own Anthropic API key. You pay Anthropic directly at their published rates. We never handle or bill for AI costs.

What's the difference between API AI and Skill AI?

API AI runs an automated research pipeline inside Argus -- Haiku triages markets, Sonnet analyzes, and Opus does deep research, all in the background. Skill AI gives you interactive research sessions through Claude Desktop or Cowork using MCP, so you drive the analysis conversationally.
